Out with Porsild

Yesterday it was reported that a bowhead whale had been seen close to Qeqertarsuaq. The crew on Porsild had to do some measurements of the water on a fixed locality near by Qeqertarsuaq. On this trip Porsild would take us to the area where it was reported that a bowhead whale had been sighted yesterday. On our way out of the harbour the sun was shining but clouds got closer very fast. We recognized more small boats and called them to ask if they had seen any bowhead whales. Unfortunately they had not. Suddenly it began to snow which reduced the visibility and made it a bit difficult to look for the whales. When we arrived our position we throw the hydrophone into the water, but there still were no sound of the bowhead whales.
