On Monday we had a later start due to strong prevailing wind that refused to calm down. But finally we sailed out with 3 jolles and almost immediately found the first bowhead only 10 minutes from town. This time we were equipped with two pairs of ‘false ears’ in order to make cross bearing lines to pin point the whales’ position. Weather turned out fine in the afternoon and whales kept popping up around the 3 boats. Nevertheless no cross bearings were made as the whales kept silent the whole period.
