Last autumn Ruth and Adam were at the Arctic Station to ring and deploy little “backbags” on Greenlandic wheatear to study their migration behaviour. Well, this morning Mads and I saw one of their birds outside our house just like Adam predicted but just a lot earlier then we thought was possible. It is spring in Greenland but still a LOT of snow and it must be hard for the little bird to find food..
